Greetings from symbolic insight. We have three new albums which were released in the past month. bios+a+ic has two, 'free and floating away' and 'something about the light' which were inspired and dedicated to the memory of his mother who recently passed away. Both are beautiful ambient works of minimalism and space, featuring lush trumpet sourced effects-processed sounds. We did not forget Halloween, so check out the new one from unbridled sonic Anarchy titled, 'dead space' for deep drones and scary sonic space sounds. For those in Denver, come celebrate on Saturday, October 26 at Rhiniceropolis to hear bios+a+ic perform with Denizens of the Deep along with Mondo Obscura, and the Snowbeasts (Component Recordings), who are traveling from Rhode Island for special Colorado appearance. We are also excited to welcome Al Petteway from Ashevile, NC, for a rare performance and workshop at the Museum of Art, Ft. Collins on the 29th and 30th, advanced tickets are required, (links for details in calendar).

The dark ambient noise duo of bahiya and bios+a+ic release this spooky space themed album just in time for the Halloween season. Inspired by their soundtrack work with the classic silent Russian film, 'Space Voyage', this collection of 15 creepy tracks is rich in textures and dynamics. This album is the most minimal ambient release from bios+a+ic since 'cloudLanD', and could be considered a companion album to 'free and floating away'. Trumpet washes are looped, layered, and manipulated to create ethereal, other worldly atmosphere, which drifts with the wind. A year in the making, these recordings by bios+a+ic explore new production techniques in programming and feature collected samples from studio sessions by the band, EARadiate. The rhythm loop programming captures out jazz jams, changing them into loose grooves and IDM forms, which are further manipulated and processed. Heavy Moog bass lines and drones keep thing grounded allowing the explorations of deep space with additional guitar, saxophone, and percussion in the mix. biostatic's signature muted trumpet is featured in lush layers with synths and vocal samples scattered through out creating rich sonic textures.
