symbolic insight May news! EARadite is at Microtone recording studios this week for sessions with bios+a+ic on trumpet/synth, Joe Sorcic on drum kit, Kris Nickson on guitar, and Anthony Giannotti on bass. Meanwhile, their new album is in the final mixing stages and will be out this summer. This months textures ambient showcase is May 27 featuring sets by Tunica Externa, paperbark, and Lepidoptera at our favorite spot, the Mutiny Information Cafe.

Cognitive Dissonance by bios+a+ic
Cognitive Dissonance is the 13th album release from bios+a+ic. The album is a collection of highlights from live recordings of Colorado performances over the past few years . It features dark ambient guitar drones and lush spacious trumpet washes blending with synthesizers and effects laden voice samples.

Acidbat, A23P, and bios+a+ic release their second album as metapulse called firesign. The three sound artists boldly present their signature sounds which compliment each other perfectly on nine tracks. Experimental moments of genre bending include elements of Drum & Bass, breakbeat, and dance, creating unique, rich, sonic textures. Deep trance acid rhythms with IDM pulses drive the album along blending with lush synthesizers, melodic space keys, washes of ambient trumpet and manipulated layers of loops.
