It's heating up for summer, but we a staying cool at symbolic insight. This month we celebrate our 4 year anniversary of textures ambient showcase at Mutiny Information Cafe. Many thanks to Jim and Matt for supporting us over the years. Join us on Sunday, June 24 for live sets by the{nothing}, bios+a+ic, and Mingo with visuals from Orchidz3ro. You can also catch bios+a+ic and Acidbat on June 21st at Hooked on Colfax in Denver for an early show starting at 7pm. We have new albums in the works from usA, EARadiate, entropic advance, and bios+a+ic, so catch up on our current releases now. Fifth Saturday is June 30, so tune in to hear bios+a+ic on KGNU radio with new music for Electronic Air and Under the Floorboards starting at 9pm.

Cognitive Dissonance is the 13th album release from bios+a+ic. The album is a collection of highlights from live recordings of Colorado performances over the past few years . It features dark ambient guitar drones and lush spacious trumpet washes blending with synthesizers and effects laden voice samples.

Acidbat, A23P, and bios+a+ic release their second album as metapulse called firesign. The three sound artists boldly present their signature sounds which compliment each other perfectly on nine tracks. Experimental moments of genre bending include elements of Drum & Bass, breakbeat, and dance, creating unique, rich, sonic textures. Deep trance acid rhythms with IDM pulses drive the album along blending with lush synthesizers, melodic space keys, washes of ambient trumpet and manipulated layers of loops.
