Greetings and happy new year to you! We are excited to share the latest happenings in our first newsletter of 2023. 2022 was a huge transition year for us and we are finally feeling settled at our new home base in Marshall, NC. There is one more album which was released in 2022 which, though it is not an official symbolic insight release, we are are very excited to tell you about. It features symbolic insight artist, bios+a+ic, with a full band of amazing players out of Colorado. It is an accessible experiment in space jazz rock which creates a cool atmosphere. If you are interested in purchasing a copy of the beautiful double record, we recommend acting soon, since it is selling fast (400 units and only 19 left on Bandcamp). NEW Release
auralMixation by Earadiate
The projects sixth album is the first to be pressed to vinyl and distributed by Snapped on the River. Recorded at their home base in Colorado, Microtone studios, these eleven tracks are the gems taken from an epic two day session of improvisational jams. It features Jon Wirtz on organ/clavichord, Brendan O’Donoghue on bass, Kris Nickeson on guitar, Wesley Davis on trumpet/synth, and Joe Sorcic on drum kit. It is less experimental and more funky than prior albums and what dominates this record is vibe. The music is pure vibe and seems to move beyond genre and style to be ‘just is’. This albums cool jazzy grooves create a unique atmosphere, accessible by listeners of all ages which can be enjoyed again and again. The album begins with a lone drum kit setting the pace for a patient journey into the unknown on title track, ‘auralMixation'. A guitar and trumpet tease their way into the mix as the bass drops with a somber organ groove. The ominous sounds create a dark atmosphere as if at a walking pace of a groovy funeral march, celebrating life along the way. No time for regrets on ‘nanoAlchemy’ as the party is well underway with the funky groove propeling the music forward, urging the listening to move and shake. ’drugsToTakeMusicToo' is a driving odd meter as the bass and drums are locked in with frantic guitar riffs, expansive space trumpet, and deep organ textures. On ‘theAllusionsOfForm' synths blend into organ with a wandering guitar and spacious muted horn hooks complimented by a laid back pocket groove that builds and breaks down organically. Track 5, ‘veloCity’, it opens as the curtains to a beautiful morning sun, with rich organ chords revealing a subtle yet solid rhythm section layered with tasty guitar tones, lush effected trumpet, and more jazzy keys. 'propaGator’ is rooted in funk only to go rouge as the band spins round and round gaining momentum to leave the listening dizzy until it fades away. ‘literallyFigurative’ has morphing synth and organ build with a high energy walking jazz line into a dynamic peak that breaks out into a jazzy spy soundtrack. 'tWired’ is a gritty blues feel with contrasting slide guitar, laid back muted trumpet with effects, and organ swells with a tight rhythm section. ‘disOrganEyes’ is slower track locked in to some other-worldly rhythm and the music sways ahead like a drunk dancer wandering the beautiful city streets after a wonderful night out. 'L’imitation’ at first this one hits with a tight groove which quickly slows in tempo and warps as if some strange drug has kicked in creating a fuzzy warm effect which you don’t want to end. The guitar leads the way with jazzy licks over organ drones and long trumpet washes as the music speeds back up to find a wild dynamic funky ending. 'medusaOblongoata' is a stellar slow funk feel that drifts with spacious trumpet, guitar textures, and organ as if recapping the album as slow highlights then drifting back into the other world from which it came.

This album is the 30th release by Wesley Davis as bios+a+ic. It features ethereal trumpet layers and washes blended with thick drones and ambient textures. Scattered rhythmic samples surface in unique and unexpected ways including driving Indian tablas on ’the longest path’. This collection of sound art music is unpredictable, constantly morphing, and warping, while creating an other worldly atmosphere. We are proud to present our collaborative release 森 now available on from Oasis Ltd. It was produced entirely using field-recordings from our surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains with original instrumentation featuring driving synthesizers and processed trumpet all recorded in a mountain rainforest studio. The duo of noisepoetnobody and bios+a+ic emerge from the studio with an epic electronic sci-fi soundtrack. From the first note, the album creates a unique other worldly sound with an ominous intensity, pushing forward into dark realms. Ambient trumpet washes and spacey synth layers drift and warp creating a dense ominous atmosphere. Custom sample rhythms push relentlessly forward, glitching, breaking down, and reconstructing into new forms. The production sound is massive, almost 3D, which invites the listener to enter and explore the sonic landscapes of this new world. This album demonstrates the evolution of entropic advance to the next level forward for their sound art which is deeply rooted in the core elements of experimental electronic music.

This release from bios+a+ic is an album of dark ambient drones with long epic synth based tracks which evolve patiently. Deep bass waves blend with minimal shimming textures to create a mellow meditative vibe. It was recorded at the end of 2021 as the final studio session in Denver, CO before relocating to Marshall, NC. It marks the end of old cycles and outdated perceptions as we let go of the past to embrace the abundant future.

The latest album from Earadiate features tracks from three unique recording sessions at Microtone studios. The core trio, drummer Joe Sorcic, with guitarist, Kris Nickson, and trumpet/synths by Wesley Davis, explore new sounds and environments with different bass players and stellar saxophone. Improvised music that is free form, beyond genres. Though sonically diverse, a great deal of production time was spent to give the album a solid cohesion which flows seamlessly and sounds amazing.
