Theoretical / Banter:
Some of the best percussion instruments I have ever played live were pieces of metal found in the alley on the way to a back stage loading dock. Music is what you make of it. For some people criticizing is a form of pleasure and to experience pleasure from something is to enjoy it. Drones and noises are everywhere from the inward and outward, learning to hear it fully is a process of separating the layers of sound and loving each one for their part of the whole drone. Like music, the universe is made up of frequencies interacting on a complex string of waves. I never pre-intended on using a slide guitar and a sampler/sequencer together as a personal style. They just happened to be the tools I had at the moment I needed to create a beat and a drone at the same time. I love the sound of tossing ice shards onto the surface of a frozen lake in the middle of the night. Sometimes the best way to use the parameters on a sound processing device is the way the engineers never intended. If I'm listening to a CD and it starts skipping, I usually get into it and let it skip for at least two minutes. I love the sound of rain on a metal roof. Chaos is a part of life and if art is to coexist within life, it should always be willing to embrace the opportunities of the unplanned and exploit them as possible. In an electronic music world of increasing factory audio pre-sets and sample library files the artistic importance of truly custom created sounds and the real time utilization of them becomes more apparent. Analog gear sounds great in the red, digital gear just starts to crap out. Sometimes the best sound to come out of a piece of equipment is the last frequency it ever makes. I love the sound of walking under high voltage power lines. The time and place music occurs is just as important to the musical whole as is the actual sound of the music. I love the sound of a large drum circle in the echoed distance. For me, it's less like playing music and more like landing a space ship on an alien planet with half the control panel broken, tap button, adjust settings, twist knob, flip switch, repeat, start, push twice, pause, modulate, repeat, trigger, crash end...

Noise Poet Nobody would like to deeply thank all the somebodys that have come out to see me play live in any venue in any band as solo or a guest artist anywhere ever. You have been a much neede source of inspiration and love over the years whether you liked it or not.
